Regenerative & Alternative Building

Hands-on learning for creating systems that restore, renew, and thrive
This initiative explores regenerative design and alternative building practices that restore ecosystems while meeting human needs. Learners engage with low-impact materials, thoughtful design, and hands-on construction methods that move beyond sustainability toward renewal and resilience.
Co-led by Liz Davis, Curtis Letner, and Dani Urban, this initiative introduces learners to regenerative design and alternative building as pathways to a more vibrant, resilient future. Participants explore methods such as earthen construction, low-impact structures, upcycling, water-wise systems, and closed-loop thinking, all through practical, hands-on learning.
Rather than simply sustaining what exists, regenerative building asks us to create structures and environments that improve the ecosystems and communities they’re part of. This initiative cultivates the mindset and skills to design for abundance, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
