Elizabeth (Liz) Jane Davis

Elizabeth “Liz” Jane Davis leads Learn & Do Academy with a spirit of openness, creativity, and grounded integrity. Born in postwar 1946 Georgia, she grew up learning that every challenge could be met with resourcefulness, humor, and heart. Those early lessons in “making do” became the foundation of a life devoted to learning by doing, and teaching others to do the same.

Over the decades, Liz has reinvented herself many times: as a single mother of two, a pioneer in telecommunications during the 1970s, a student of the Human Potential Movement, and later, a hands-on entrepreneur who founded a home renovation business in her sixties. Each chapter deepened her belief that real education begins with curiosity and courage.

Today, as Executive Director of Learn & Do Academy, Liz channels that experience into programs that connect knowledge with action — fostering creativity, ethics, and regenerative community leadership. Her forthcoming memoir, Reflections: My Life in Flux, tells the fuller story of a woman who turned change into growth, and sass into art.

Liz and her husband, co-founder David Hamblen, make their home on a small homestead in the southern Arizona desert, where they continue to learn, build, and grow alongside the community they inspire.

I’m happy to share that my books are now available. I’ve been writing a series that traces a simple arc: from inner awakening, to collective awareness, to regenerative action. This work isn’t about predicting the future. It’s about learning how to live as if the future already matters.

I’m deeply grateful for every reader who feels called to be part of this journey.

With gratitude, Elizabeth (Liz) Jane Davis
